VeryFit: how to get your steps counted in Propulsion

Updated November 6, 2026

Updated November 6, 2026

Propulsion doesn't connect directly to the VeryFit app. Your steps must go through your phone's health app. The steps depend on your phone.

On iPhone: through Apple Health

VeryFit can send your data to Apple Health.

  1. Open the Health app, tap your photo at the top right, then Apps (or Sources) and choose VeryFit. Turn on all categories.
  2. In Propulsion, tap your avatar at the top left, then Settings, Activity tracking, Apple Health and Connect. Allow steps and workouts.
  3. Open VeryFit at least once a day to sync your watch. Otherwise, some steps may be lost.

On Android

Step 1: check whether VeryFit writes to Health Connect

  1. Open Health Connect. On Android 14 and later, search for "Health Connect" in your phone's Settings search.
  2. Open app permissions and look for VeryFit.

VeryFit is there? Allow it to write your steps, then connect Health Connect in Propulsion: avatar at the top left, Settings, Activity tracking, Health Connect and Connect. See the Health Connect guide

Step 2: VeryFit isn't there? Go through Google Fit (temporary solution)

VeryFit's documentation lists syncing with Google Fit on Android. Google Fit can then send your steps to Health Connect.

  1. Install Google Fit from the Play Store and sign in with your Google account.
  2. In VeryFit, open your profile (Pro or Me, depending on the version) and turn on Google Fit.
  3. In Google Fit, tap Profile, then Settings, and turn on syncing with Health Connect.
  4. In Health Connect, open the setting that ranks data sources for activity and put Google Fit first. This keeps steps counted by your phone from adding to your watch's steps.
  5. Connect Health Connect in Propulsion, as in step 1.
  6. Open VeryFit every day to sync your watch.

Google is ending Google Fit by the end of 2026, so this is a temporary solution.

Simple, lasting option: let your phone count

  • Samsung phone: connect Samsung Health directly in Propulsion. Your phone counts your steps when you carry it. See the Samsung Health article
  • Other Android 14+ phone: connect Health Connect, and the phone counts your steps on its own.

One source at a time in Propulsion: don't connect Samsung Health and Health Connect together.
