How do activity points work?

Updated October 1, 2026

Activity points are the shared currency of Propulsion challenges. They exist so that everyone can contribute, whatever their fitness level or activity.

The two sources of points

Source Maximum per day
Steps 30 points
Active minutes 70 points

A full day is therefore capped at 100 points, plus any weekly bonuses.

Why a daily cap

Without a cap, a marathon runner would single-handedly decide their team's result and everyone else's effort would become symbolic. The cap is what makes a challenge a team event rather than a ranking of the fittest.

The practical consequence: regularity beats intensity. Five moderate days earn more than one exceptional day.

Why active minutes are worth more

Steps only capture walking and running. Active minutes count swimming, cycling, strength training, yoga, gardening, and everything else a pedometer ignores. Weighting them more heavily keeps people whose activity is not step-based from being penalised.

Weekly bonuses

Some challenges add bonuses on top of daily points, for example for consistency across the week. When a challenge includes bonuses, the rules are shown on the challenge page itself.

Where to see your points in detail

In the Activities (Activités) tab, tap your points. You can see the breakdown by day, week or month: your activity points split between steps, active minutes and weekly missions, your steps, your active minutes and your list of workouts. A window also explains how points are calculated from steps and active minutes, with a daily maximum. See how to read the Activities tab.
