How do I use Samsung Health with Propulsion?
Samsung Health is a direct Propulsion integration: no intermediary app needed. It works on Samsung Android phones only, not on iPhone or other Android brands (for those, see Google Health).
Connecting
1. Set up Samsung Health
Open Samsung Health (already installed on your phone), finish the setup and accept the Physical activity permission. Then check that your steps show up in Samsung Health: if they don't, Propulsion can't receive them.
2. Open activity tracking
In Propulsion on your Samsung phone, tap your avatar at the top left, then Settings (Réglages, the gear at the top right), then Activity tracking (Suivi d'activité).
3. Authorize
Tap Connect next to Samsung Health. A Samsung Health window opens: allow steps, distance, active calories, active minutes and workouts.
Connect only one source at a time: if Google Fit or the pedometer was already connected, disconnect it first.
If you have a Galaxy Watch
Nothing else to do. Your watch already sends its data to Samsung Health on your phone, and Samsung Health passes it to Propulsion. Just keep Bluetooth on so the watch stays synced.
This also covers the Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Fit.
What gets shared
Propulsion receives your steps, distance, active minutes, active calories and recorded workouts (running, cycling, swimming and the rest).
Steps count toward active challenges. Sleep and heart rate variability aren't used.
For now, your data syncs when you open Propulsion. Open the app at least once a day, and before a challenge ends, so all your activity counts.
Check or re-authorize your data
Check in Samsung Health
- Open Samsung Health.
- Tap ⋮ (More options), then Settings.
- Tap Data permissions, then Propulsion.
- Turn on every data type (steps, exercise, distance, activity), then tap Done.
- Open Samsung Health once so it syncs, then open Propulsion.
Propulsion isn't in the list?
Re-authorize from Propulsion:
- In Propulsion, tap your avatar at the top left, then Settings, then Activity tracking.
- Disconnect Samsung Health, then tap Connect next to Samsung Health again.
- The Samsung Health window appears again: this time, allow every data type.
Your Galaxy Watch syncs with Samsung Health when it reconnects to your phone or when you open the Samsung Health home screen. Also check that battery optimization isn't putting Samsung Health to sleep.
For other possible causes, see My device is connected but I don't see any data: what should I do?.
I don't see Samsung Health in the list
Android options only appear on an Android phone. On an iPhone, you'll see Apple Health.
If steps don't show up
Open Samsung Health first and check that step tracking is on and your steps are there. If Samsung Health doesn't have them, Propulsion can't either.
If your steps are in Samsung Health but not in Propulsion, re-authorize your data as described above.
