How do I use Peloton with Propulsion?
Peloton doesn't connect to Propulsion directly. On iPhone, your data goes through Apple Health.
On iPhone
- In the Peloton app settings, turn on sharing with Apple Health. If needed, see Peloton's official help.
- In Propulsion, tap your avatar at the top left, then Settings (the gear at the top right), then Activity tracking. Tap Connect next to Apple Health, then allow Propulsion to read steps and workouts.
On Android
Peloton works with Propulsion on Android through Health Connect. Your workouts come in through Health Connect. Your steps come from your phone (Android 14 and up) or from your watch, also through Health Connect.
- In the Peloton app settings, look for the Health Connect option and turn it on. Allow sharing of workouts.
- In Propulsion, tap your avatar at the top left, then Settings (the gear at the top right), then Activity tracking. Tap Connect next to Health Connect, then allow Propulsion to read your steps and workouts (see how).
- To check, in Health Connect, open your activity data: Peloton should show up as a source for your workouts. If Peloton isn't there, see what to do.
On a Samsung phone, you can also connect Samsung Health for your steps. A workout doesn't come through? Tap the + button at the bottom right of the Propulsion screen (see how).
What gets shared
Peloton sends your workouts to Apple Health, and Propulsion reads them from there. On Android, Peloton writes your workouts to Health Connect, and Propulsion reads them from there. Connect only one source at a time to avoid duplicates.
Peloton mostly records workouts. Your steps come from your main source: Apple Health, Health Connect, Samsung Health or Garmin (see how to get your steps counted). A workout that wasn't captured can be added with the + button at the bottom right of the Propulsion screen.
For now, your data syncs when you open Propulsion. Open the app at least once a day, and before a challenge ends, so all your activity counts.
If nothing shows up
- Open the Peloton app so it can sync your data.
- Check that your data shows up in Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android).
- Check that Propulsion is allowed to read your data. On iPhone, in Apple Health. On Android, in Health Connect, open the app permissions, choose Propulsion and allow steps and workouts (exercise).
- Reopen Propulsion.
