How do I change my activity source without losing data?

Updated October 5, 2026

Propulsion accepts only one activity tracking source at a time. You can change it at any time, but doing so can affect your recent data.

Before you switch: the warning

When you change your source, the app shows this warning: "Only one activity tracking source is allowed. Changing it may affect your data from the last 7 days and your progress in ongoing challenges."

Avoid switching during a challenge

If you are taking part in a challenge, for example La Course Corpo, wait until the challenge ends before changing your source, if you can. This protects your progress.

How to change your source

  1. Tap your avatar in the top left to open your Profile (Profil).
  2. Tap the gear in the top right to open Settings (Réglages).
  3. In General (Général), tap Activity tracking (Suivi d'activité).
  4. The active source is marked Connected (Connecté). Disconnect it first (including Google Fit or the pedometer), so your steps aren't counted twice.
  5. Tap the source you want to use.
  6. Read the warning, then tap Continue (Continuer) to confirm, or Close (Fermer) to keep your current source.

Leaving Google Fit?

Google is shutting down Google Fit in December 2026, and new connections are blocked. On a Samsung phone, switch to Samsung Health; on another Android, to Google Health (Fitbit connector). See how

Without a tracking app

If no source is connected, your phone's pedometer can count your steps and distances, if the motion permission is accepted. On Android, it only counts while Propulsion is open: a connected source is much more reliable.
