Help Center / Tracking & Syncing
My device is connected but I don't see any data: what should I do?
Your source is connected to Propulsion, but nothing shows up? In the vast majority of cases, it comes down to a permission or a sync. Here is what to check, in order.
The 3 basic checks
- Sync your watch with its brand's app. Open the app for your watch or tracker and check that today's steps are there. If the data isn't there, it can't reach Propulsion.
- Open Propulsion with your phone unlocked. Sync doesn't run in the background yet: your data arrives when you open Propulsion. On iPhone, Health data can't be read while the phone is locked.
- Check that the right source is connected. Tap your avatar at the top left, then Settings (Réglages, the gear at the top right), then Activity tracking (Suivi d'activité). The source you use should be marked Connected (Connecté). Only one source is active at a time.
Apple Health
- Open the Health app and tap your profile picture (or your initials) at the top right.
- Under Privacy, tap Apps → Propulsion.
- Tap Turn On All, or turn on at least Steps, Walking + Running Distance, Exercise Minutes, Workouts, Active Energy and Heart Rate.
Apple never tells an app that read access was denied: Propulsion simply sees "no data" and can't show an error. If everything is on and nothing arrives, turn the categories off, then back on.
Is your watch from another brand (COROS, WHOOP, Oura, Polar, Strava…)? In the same place (Privacy → Apps), tap its app's name and turn on its categories: it must be allowed to write to Health. Also turn on syncing to Apple Health in the watch's app (for COROS: Profile > Settings > Third-party apps > Data sync > Apple Health). Finally, check that today's steps show up in Health.
Garmin
Your watch must first sync with the Garmin Connect app, otherwise nothing reaches Propulsion. Then:
- In Garmin Connect, tap More (☰), then Settings.
- Tap Connected Apps, then Propulsion.
- Turn on every permission, especially activities and daily health stats.
Changes apply at the next sync. If Propulsion isn't listed, reconnect Garmin in Propulsion.
Fitbit and Google Health
The Fitbit app is now called Google Health. The Fitbit connector also works without a watch, on an Android phone other than Samsung. First check that your steps are in the Google Health app, with the same Google account as in Propulsion. Activity and exercise must be allowed, and these choices can't be changed afterwards:
- In Google Health, tap Connections at the top left, then Partner apps → Propulsion, and disconnect it.
- Reconnect Fitbit in Propulsion (Activity tracking) with every category checked.
Samsung Health
- In Samsung Health, tap ⋮, then Settings → Data permissions → Propulsion.
- Turn on every data type, then tap Done.
Propulsion isn't listed? Disconnect and reconnect Samsung Health in Propulsion to bring the request back. Also check that Samsung Health finished its setup and that the Physical activity permission is accepted. Your Galaxy Watch syncs with Samsung Health when it reconnects to your phone or when you open the Samsung Health home screen. Finally, check that battery optimization isn't putting Samsung Health to sleep.
Google Fit
Google is shutting down Google Fit in December 2026, and new connections are currently blocked ("This app is blocked" message). Switch to Samsung Health (Samsung phone) or Google Health (other Android) instead: see how. Disconnect Google Fit before connecting the new source.
Phone pedometer
With no source connected, the pedometer can count your steps if the motion permission is accepted:
- iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness, then turn on Fitness Tracking and Propulsion.
- Android: Settings → Apps → Propulsion → Permissions → Physical activity → Allow. On Android, the pedometer only counts while Propulsion is open: connect Samsung Health or Google Health instead.
Still nothing?
- Disconnect and reconnect your source in Activity tracking, allowing all the data requested. For Fitbit, first disconnect Propulsion in Google Health (see above). On iPhone, as a last resort, uninstall and reinstall Propulsion.
- Be careful if you switch sources. Switching can affect your data from the last 7 days and your progress in ongoing challenges. See how to change your source without losing data.
- Write to us from Settings → Contact support (Contacter le support), with your source and your phone model.
